We are operating at reduced capacity due to the COVID 19 Alert Level Two requirements. Find out more about how to correspond and notify us during this time.

You might also hear from us as we proactively call businesses about how they're operating safely during Alert Level Two.

Workers can be seriously injured when machinery or equipment is not properly locked out.

Lockout is the use of a lock to render machinery or equipment inoperable or to isolate an energy source. We have produced guidance with ACC on how to isolate all sources of energy in sawmills safely.

Safe practices for isolation of all sources of energy in sawmills includes guidance on key safety issues, why lockout is required and when it is not required, and the steps involved in locking out.
